My Photo scholarship 2010 entry: Abyaneh village

Iran | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 1 photos

My name is Seyedrahim Jafari, I am 27 years old from Iran, I did my bachelor in graphic design in Tehran, and continue studding in master degree in knowledge management with multimedia in Malaysia.
As far as I remember I always interested in photography. I had my first camera when I was 11. I also love to travel to new places all around the world and visit new place and different nature and culture of people but unfortunately I could not afford that. So this is a great opportunity for me to visit a country like Bhutan which has a really rich nature. If I can win this challenge I would take so many photos which is really different to what I experienced before .
I have chosen five photos to send to you from the place in Iran that called Abyaneh village. It is located in center of Iran and it has warm and dry climate. The reason why I chose Abyaneh photos is that I always wanted to go to the places where lots of people don't even heard about it and took photos to introduce these lost places to other people. I try to present in my photos how this place is simple and pure, people still live at old houses from about 100 years ago and how modernity has no effect on the costumes of Abyaneh's people's life. At the end, I hope I would convey the message and the story of Abyaneh through my photos. I am really eager to learn new things and gain new experiences I hope I would be eligible.
Photos where taken from a small village in Iran where the modern world has no effect on architecture and appearance of the village.
