I was never one who was satisfied in focussing on just one thing. My exam periods in school were spent by studying calculus for a few hours, then learning the basics of website design the next. It was as if I had to balance the scientific learning with something artistic (not that I claim to be any good at that, of course).

This pattern continued throughout high school, where I balanced physics with learning music production, but only because in my younger years, I could not yet afford a camera.

Then, somewhere in the midst of my university education, I happen to have saved just enough money and also had an exam coming up when I bought my first SLR camera...

That was 5 years ago and I know that I could not continue my medical training without having a creative outlet, which ever since I picked up that camera, has happened to be photography.

The scholarship seems a bit serendipitous as I will just finish one exam at the end of February and need my creative outlet before preparing for my next in one in May.

Hopefully, history will repeat itself again...
