My Scholarship entry - Chang Mai

A picture speaks a thousand words they say. I was never that great at all with English at School. Never passed a single test or exam. Still to this day I struggle with spelling and structure. When I found photography I found a outlet for my what I saw around the world in my travels. I could share my adventures.
I can remember playing with my grandfathers Minolta SRT as a child. Loving hearing the click of the shutter, the feeling winding the film on. But it was not until later in life after my first trips trips to Canada snowbording that I got my own camera. At first I started off with disposable paper cameras. Later a point and shoot film camera. That got stolen.
It was around 2008 or so when I got my first digital camera. Can remember standing beside a snowboard jump and one of the photographers looked across and said thats a camera. I can remember smiling. Since then I have worked along side many idols of snowboard photography. Admiring their work and practice. But that door of my life has closed and now I am seeing a world away from Snow. A world that offers much more than snowboarding. I want to explore with my camera. To tell a story. To Never Stop Traveling.
