“Monument of pain and defiance" is the first monument that was built in the park in 1959. It was built on the site where on 21 October 1941 in Šumarice shooting range only woman - Nada Naumović. Through the purity of marble processing blocks are presented in figures of a man and woman in the death throes. Female character, strongly curved backward, still defying death, and men, painfully bent in a sharp curve ahead slowly falling to the ground.

Šumarice Memorial Park is the site near Kragujevac, Serbia of the execution of an estimated 7000 men and boys of the town by the German occupation forces on October 21, 1941, during World War II. On october 21, each year at 11am is a manifestation

Inside the museum dedicated to the victims of the massacre , there are, among other things, is a collection of documents related to the massacre, a collection of photographs, a library and reading room. Here you can see a projector that displays photos, education, and the names of the innocent victims of the massacre.
