My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As a kid I used to watch National Geographic Channel on the television set and wonder, are those places for real? Are those people living there for real? I am 24 today and I am still wondering.
My name is Preeteesh Peetabh Singh. I was born and brought up in a middle class family in India. I traveled extensively all over the country before moving to Canada in 2011. Currently I work for my college newspaper as a reporter. I am also an active blogger and a social media enthusiast.
From my photographs being exhibited across 300 subway stations in Toronto for a photo festival to being shortlisted in the top 100 finalists of an annual Wikipedia photo contest, I have had some share of success.
This scholarship is an an opportunity for me to get into what I truly love, i.e. travelling and photography. It has the ability to make my belief stronger that the love for the job leads us to the ultimate success and satisfaction and not the monetary benefits.
Every photograph has a story behind it, and I will aim to capture those stories through my lens. All I know is weather its 3 am in the morning or the temperature is -22 degree Celsius, I can pick up my camera and leave for a trail.
