My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Sean, and I call the snowy city of Toronto my home. Since I was old enough to crawl over to the bookshelf, I’ve been captivated by the photos within in each issue of National Geographic. Since I got my first camera in 2006, I’ve had a permanent fixation with taking photos that evoke emotion and awe. I spend hours in my cubicle comparing airfares and lenses when I should be working. Regular exercise is important to me, and my brain is kept sharp by learning the languages of places I plan to explore. I can think of no better existence than offering the world images that I’ve taken of unique and far flung places to prove that they actually exist, and hopefully inspire others to follow their own dreams of exploration. I soon plan to have my own website containing my best photos and eventually have prints for sale. If I don’t win this competition, my trajectory will remain the same. I will continue, albeit at a pace more modest due to my limited experience and resources. Though, it is hard not to shake with excitement when I think of the grand prize and how it would catapult my life into what I’ve always dreamed it could be. Thank you for making this possible.
