My Scholarship entry - Experience Portugal!
Portugal | Monday, October 27, 2014 | 5 photos
Photography has been a hobby since high school. National Geographic Magazine was my insight into photography and spurred my motivation to become a photographer. I have had a few of my images displayed in high school, and district level shows. Currently, I am studying history at University of Illinois at Chicago. In order to grow as a photographer I chose to minor in communications to gain an understanding of human interaction ranging from face-to-face conversation to mass media.
Recently, I have had the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world. Traveling enchants me and photography is my passion. Being able to capture raw nature through the lens to express the variety of the world is bliss to me.
Even though I take photography seriously, I have never received professional training. The opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards will lead to incredible experiences and insights in travel photography. Travel photography involves documenting the interactions people have with their landscape, cultures, and history. Being able to see how people act around the world, intrigues me to capture that moment in time.
