Born the daughter of an Iraqi father and Scottish mother, growing up on a farm in South Africa and just having spent two months volunteering in India – I have felt an open thirst for adventure and international exposure from an early age.
I have a deep desire to understand and appreciate difference by attempting to see the world through a kaleidoscope lense of different cultural frameworks.
I'd choose sunrise over sunset, orange over apple juice, truth over beauty and leonard cohen over everyone.
I like to dance in the kitchen, to sing in the shower, to write in the corner of smokey coffee shops, to smile at strangers in the streets and to flip giant stacks of pancakes at obscure times of the evening.
My photographs are in black and white. The memories paint my life with colour.
