Greetings,

My name is Ori Mayer and I'm a 28 year old aspiring polymath.

The meaning of my name comes from the Hebrew meaning ”Shining Light”.
Currently, I’m a social entrepreneur and I dream about making a powerful impact to help create a better world for us all. In order for me to achieve this goal, I'll need to improve my photojournalism skills. The trip will also help raise awareness to the melting ice sheets in Greenland’s beautiful landscape.

Jason Edwards will really enjoy my companionship. I’m extremely disciplined with a strong work ethic and I learn new things very quickly.

Over the years I've attend two master’s degrees (An MBA and a Masters in Environmental Studies). Journal readers will also love my witty sense of humor and writing style as I am a licensed private pilot and hold professional certifications in over 12 other fields as well.

The most important reason you should consider me is because I’m not applying for this scholarship for a vacation or personal ego. Learning about this topic during my graduate studies insures I will offset any ecological footprint I create during the journey.
