My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My travel experiences began, along with my desire to photograph them, rather late in life. I now travel as often and to as many places as I can afford. I have dreams of helping others, especially women, to see that it is safe to travel alone and that it can make the experience even more memorable. The opportunities to meet the local people and experience their culture is far greater as a solo traveler. It is important to me to chronicle my adventures and so I photograph, coming home with thousands of photos. I also blog to friends which I use more as a tool to help me remember and share the good stuff along the way. I would love the opportunity to learn more about how to share my enthusiasm and the little travel expertise I possess with others and to learn how to take better photos and get the most from a place in the process.
