About pixelvoyages
I am a former journalist and travel industry professional.
Having cast aside the shackles of a full time job, now I occasionally freelance as a content writer and blog at http://pixelvoyages.wordpress.com. The blog, born out of my love for photography and travel, makes me feel alive every day.
Feeling the sea mist dissolve all your worries, discovering something beautiful just because you didn’t follow the route on GPS , enjoying a road side meal, finding a python inside a tree stump you almost sat on – traveling mingles unexpected moments with the mundane and gives one a great sense of joie de vivre.
As for photography, there are people, including me, who lose all sense of time once they start shooting. I see everything in frames (much like the National Geographic logo). Street photography truly draws me in – candid moments that show life as it is or simple objects coming together to make magic – which is why you will find instances of this genre on my blog and other platforms.
My pictures occasionally take me on journeys of the mind and to another place in time.
As my online presence helps me make new friends, I hope to share what my eye and mind see through the lens.
Finally, a quote from Charles de Lint (reproduced below) which captures the raison d’etre of my endeavor–
“Don’t forget—no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.”
