Moroccan people - the column

Fascinated by the relative nearness of Morocco to Italy i decided to go back to north Africa for the third time. These shots were taken about three years ago during a two weeks trip in Morocco. Morocco is a relatively crowded country: the old Medinas, the ancient city centers are baffling areas where it's pretty easy to get lost if you decide to follow your senses lead. Moroccans seem like always knowing exactly where to go but without knowing what to do. Although this amount of people, it is quite difficult to meet women running up and down in the streets and showing this particular chaotic behavior. It is more likely to sight a woman in a city centre doing something more concrete than her husband, or in general it is much easier to find them at the borders of the Medinas, far from the touristic routes. What really impressed me is the role that women in Morocco seem to have: it looks like they are the soul of the country, the tireless and unfailing hands of the society, the moral vertebral column of all Moroccan people. The short stream I’m proposing here tries to synthetically highlight the features that at the end of the journey were very clear to me, and that also helped me to decrypt some aspects of the North African male integration into the Italian society (here in Italy).
