About picatoria
I suppose this is where I tell who is behind this journal.
An amateur in many ways.. of photography, traveling, writing, filming, exploring and challenging. Oh also a visual anthropologist... mostly interested in community-based conservation.
I guess it would only be appropriate on this website, to also claim to be a
nomad...a traveler in search of a purpose in life. And as with all
journeys, I say the answer is not in the destination but in the path
leading there.
Born and raised in the beautiful island of Cyprus, in the Turkish Cypriot part.
Have been a bit torn between the enfettered feeling of home's attraction to my roots, friends and family on one side, and the seduction from the vast, limitless wealth of people, places and nature that the world offfers to experience on the other side.
Now, trying to cut loose from either side in order to expand my horizons.
Hoping to reflect my experiences in my productions; photography being the main outlet with which I try to engage with people who are interested in hearing from me.
Am I capable of doing that? I think it will be you to give an answer to this question.
