My photo scholarship 2010 entry

My place is Phu Hai fishing village in Binh Thuan province in Viet Nam. I’ve visited there for several times to find photographic projects for study. People here and their work amazed me a lots. So, I would introduce a part of this land through five of photographs to you.

Well, I’m a student from the photographic community in Viet Nam:

In my country, there is no photography for specific purposes in college or university. At school, I learnt various kinds of photography but all were just at defining level, specialize in nothing…

I think that a good photographer is who can make perfect photographs through the viewfinder at the moment he presses the release shutter speed button. So I believe true photography is making good photographs by the camera, not by the computer. Although the majority of people in my community doesn’t care of that…

So that, things I expect from the scholarship are to meet you who have the same thought “making a beautiful image in the field rather than in front of the computer…“ to share passion for photography, learn the way you did it and true photography to my photography can be grown.

Those are reasons I want this scholarship.

I want to be a photojournalist in the future. I’ll continue finding a way to study photography seriously following this win. I expect a chance to make my own way and also contribute to photographic community in my country.
That’s all my dream.
