My Scholarship entry - Travelling through J & K

I am a serious amateur looking to establish a career in Photography. My interest being visual story telling, I started assisting for documentaries (video) for Prince of Wales Museum, Mumbai. In the process I traveled a lot from state to state in India. Travel gives me immense pleasure and I love to capture the essence of the place the best way I can. But best is not good enough. I always try and push my personal limits, engage with people to get better pictures. As a budding photographer I follow the great artists from Magnum photos, National Geographic etc. In the process of getting better at the art of Photography my efforts have always been to learn from the Gurus of the art. The tips and techniques from the Gurus are my only classes as I have not taken any formal qualification in Photography.
I would be honored to receive this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the great Jason Edwards. During this time I wish to gain as much knowledge as I can to understand how is it to be on a project/assignment under Nat Geo. And if I could become a part of this esteemed endeavor, it will be an accomplishment in itself for me. For all I know this could be the Game Changer for me.
