Traveling & photography are the only things I’m willing to do forever. As a film and a previous Anthropology student, I’m not formally trained in travel photography. Thus, the scholarship is a challenging opportunity to learn from the expert, Jason Edwards. Experience is the best teacher & assisting him will teach me lessons that I won’t learn elsewhere. Whether day or night, rain or shine, I’d be thrilled to grasp whatever I can to become a better photographer. Brimming with enthusiasm & hungry for experience, I look forward to applying his lessons in the field.

Photography & traveling are about being in touch with the world & through those, I aspire to give back. With my camera, I aim to connect people & inspire them to see, not just look; to show them the beauty of the unfamiliar & even of the melancholy in their daily lives. The most valuable lesson that photography taught me was how to live more by seeing more & I believe others deserve that, too. I’m determined to improve lives through photography, hoping I’d move people to live in the best way that they can. I’ve always wanted to make a difference but I never knew how. Perhaps through photography & this scholarship, I can.
