Haleakalā Sunrise is one of the experiences that every local and visitor to Maui must achieve.
Lovers, family and acquaintances who recently became friends start ascending a few hours after midnight, to arrive to the highest peak of the island, at 10.023 feet (3.055 meters), and sit on the
crater rim, awaiting for the Sun to shine bright in front of their eyes.

Curiosities to those who are familiar, especially with higher volcanoes: you can drive to the top of Haleakalā, and practically just walk a few meters to be at its peak... where you also have reception to check the time at which the sun will come up!
