My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Japan | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos
I am Romina Beltran, but please call me Phoebe. I am an art advocate, as educator, and researcher. I also dabble in painting and participate in a few art exhibits. While I was on training in Japan, I had the urge to document my experiences, and rediscovered the joy of getting to know a place intimately. I also came to love showing others visual insights about what makes the country beautiful. I have always been amazed at the works of travel photographers and how they capture the essence of a place at the right moment. Being chosen as an apprentice would be a dream come true. As the Japanese would say, ichigo ichi e, this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity..an opportunity to learn, travel, work with an amazingly talented team, and pave the way for opportunities to give back to society by learning to inspire others with the pictures I take as an artist, and share my experiences and knowledge I gained to other aspiring photographers in my home country as a teacher/ mentor.
