My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Three African Bull Elephants (Loxodonta africana). Watching these three progress across the grasslands beside the River Nile in Northern Uganda, it was easy to reflect on the timeless nature of the scene - other than that across the river here lies the DRC, where Elephants are regularly killed by rebels for ivory to finance their fighting. There are few large tusked Elephants remaining in this region.
