Pete Smaling - One destination I've always wanted to visit is SE Asia. My love of oriental food and affinity for Asian people and their cultures, has driven me to put this destination on my bucket list. Finally, after years of dreaming, reality is looming and Sept 21st , 2013 , sees my wife Roz and I, heading off to Thailand on the first leg of our "intrepid journey" ( as Roz describes it !! ).
After 17 days of travel with family and friends around Thailand ( celebrating my nephew's 40th along the way !! ) Roz and I will part company with the group and venture into places unknown. So far, we have a one-way ticket to Thailand - after that we plan to visit Malaysia, Vietnam, Meyanmar, Laos, Cambodia returning to NZ sometime late December via Melbourne.
