My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

India | Thursday, January 3, 2013 | 5 photos

Photography started becoming a part of me when I bought a Sony DSC-R1 with one of my first salaries, when I was still a University student. A few months later I moved to Paris as an Erasmus student, and this fact linked together two of my major hobbies: photography and traveling. Here I started traveling around Europe, and Asia, then I realized that meeting other languages, cultures, and people made me feel human. I can currently check 30 countries around America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and each of them has allowed me to grow personally.

A few years have passed since then and travel journalism has been come, more than a hobby, a kind of way of life that I'm currently juggling with my job of Team Manager as engineer, volunteering in different NGOs, and mountain hiker.

Last November I finished a Master's Degree in Travel Journalism, allowing my dream to become a little bit more real. Some of my works there, had been to produce a short-film in Morocco —working almost 20 hours per day on site—, and wrote a report about how globalization is affecting indigenous cultures as the Maasai (Kenya), Bribri (Costa Rica), or Aymara (Peru), with whom I had the possibility to live together for a few weeks.
