My Scholarship entry - Pakistan: People and Place
Pakistan | Sunday, December 30, 2012 | 5 photos
In 2012 at the age of fifty I decided to relinquish the security of 30 years employment in the field of natural resource management and embark on a 20 month overland journey through East Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. My aim was to experience and capture through the lens of my Panasonic DMC-FZ18 the very essence of people and place. I have had an interest in photography since my early teens and have over the years undertaken a number of short courses and experimented with a wide range of photographic equipment, however it has been my underlying drive to seek and capture a sense of place that continues to motivate me as a amateur photographer. I believe this opportunity if successful will provide the foundation required to enable me to apply my passion, creative qualities and experience in pursuit of a new career path in professional photography.
