My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Mexico | Tuesday, November 1, 2011 | 5 photos

Wherever I have gone, my camera followed. I don't take pictures just for a family snapshot or memory, but to expose and educate.
I travel every chance I have, never known for staying in one place for to long, my friends have come to know me as a nomadic bard telling fascinating stories from other places.
This is why being mentored and receiving this scholarship is so significant to me. It’s not simply because I want to travel, see new places, and take pictures.

I want to encounter new cultures, learn from new ideas, appreciate unique beliefs, and meet captivating people. I also want the chance to share all that I’ve experienced and observed with others, teach them astonishing new ideas found only in fascinating cultures and lands far away! My pictures will assist in opening the eyes of others, my stories will inspire, that is why I travel, and that is why I carry my camera.

This scholarship will not only give me an opportunity to see and learn from a charming culture, but what I truly want most from it; is the education on how to properly convey it with others, both through written and visual mediums.
Education is monumental, and we can never stop learning, I aspire to be the best, constantly working to improve myself. This scholarship will greatly help in teaching me innovative new idea’s and reinforcing previous knowledge, perhaps even learning new ways to apply them. This scholarship is a great learning tool I can’t pass up, for myself and the benefit of others who I try to touch through my works.
I’ll always travel and capture scenes around me, but never will I find another learning opportunity like this!

The following pictures are from Juarez Mexico, and the people who live there.
