Saw a huge humpback whale in the surf at Kurrajong. Went to get the binoculars but by the time I got back the whale had disappeared. Marg went straight to Turquoise Bay and I went to the Info centre to book the whale shark tour which I had now decided to do.
There are lots of these birds in the park.
Also bought a book on wildflowers then joined Marg on the beach. Current very strong for snorkeling and visibility not great at Turquoise Bay so after a short snorkel and hard to get back to shore we made lunch in the car park and went to Oyster Stacks again. Had a good snorkel here despite the strong current but decided to cut it short given the quickly receding tide.
I went to Pilgrumunna Gorge to look for the black footed wallabies which I did manage to see hiding in the rock crevices with their cute black striped bodies and the Gorge was beautiful just before sunset.
Happy Hour at new camp ground Tulki Beach.
