My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I’m an enthusiastic 26 years old photographer from Bucharest, Romania. I started working with a camera ever since high school.
I’m constantly learning and trying to improve myself while all the while trying to find my own style.
Another important hobby I have is hiking. I’m part of a mountain club and as often as I can I go on different adventures to conquer new peaks. And, of course, the most important thing I take with me on these trips is my camera.
For me, hiking is the way to stop the time and photography is the way to make it last forever.
When I first learned about this contest, I knew it was perfect for me. When I read National Geographic articles about Natural Parks or wildlife and isolated places around the world, I imagine myself going on such an expedition.
Such a scholarship gives me the opportunity of combining my two passions: exploring nature and photography. It gives me the chance to apprentice for an experienced photographer, to work for NG, to go to the end of the world and to fulfill a life-long dream.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, a unique adventure, it’s the scholarship I want and need at the same time.
