The world has so much to offer, but we spend our lives not seeing more than a mere fraction of it. I have always been drawn to exploring and the most natural way of bringing what I see to others is photography. As I child I used my parent’s analog camera and went wild on holidays. I bought a DSLR four years back and I take it everywhere with me. I find it fulfilling taking pictures and sharing the things I see and experience with others.
Looking at photographs that others have taken is also amazing. It not just helps me visualize life somewhere else or through somebody else’s perspective, but it pushes the boundaries of my imagination in new directions.
This scholarship, if I am chosen, will be the perfect opportunity for me to get a push in the right direction helping me make a career out of something I love to do. Combining travel, exploration, places, people, animals and bringing all those together in front of my lens in an attempt that thousands, maybe millions, of people will get to experience through an image that I was given the opportunity to seek out and bring to them.
