- What inspired your subject matter?
I was amazed to find a tent city on the lawns of old Parliament House, and find no record of it on any official maps. This video is now a historical piece, pre Kevin Rudd's sorry statement
- How did you plan your piece?
First I had to find a suitable representative for the tent embassy, Darren was the fire keeper and best represented the Aborigine cause.
- What challenges did you face?
It was an easy shoot, only real problem was recording audio in Darrens tent, picked up a bit of traffic noise
- What is your ambition as a documentary maker?
I see the internet just another medium through which people can watch videos. I enjoy the challenge of doing short form stories and meeting people around the world. It is a real privilege to be able to tell other people's stories, nothing else I'd rather do.
