My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, October 30, 2011 | 5 photos

Hello to everyone at WorldNomads!
To me, photography is something taken in the moment, then shared with everyone, stranger or relative. Wherever I go, I bring my p100 with me and try not to miss a moment. Photography has been an obsession of mine since a child, always "borrowing" my father's camera only to waste precious memory or battery life, whatever had come first. I haven't been in any courses involving photography, for academical reasons, but I teach myself and have learnt a few things along the way. I based my photography story around a mall, a small community I've grown up in, it's a small place, but worth its weight in gold. Nothing makes this community greater than the people that reside with it, its a place I have to share, though the 5 photo limit made it prove difficult. The scholarship would be the greatest, life changing opportunity that would ever happen for me, it would kick-start a passionate career and let me visit other places, communities, then best of all, let me share the experience when I return home. Going to Africa would send me the furthest away from home I'd ever been, I've never been so far as close to the borders of Victoria (Aus) and this would simply be a dream come true in every single way.
Thanks for giving me this chance.
