Langtang

Cosy kitchen of our lodge at Rimche. Do you like the stove? It's made from rocks and clay. The ladies are Tamang, from Tibetan heritage.

The picture at rimche with the stove, in which year did you shot it since we are in june 2011? How many lodges at Rimche and their names and comfort please?
I would like to travel over there, especially around Rimche.

This was in July 2007. This lodge was by itself on the path up the Langtang Valley. There are plenty of lodges all only the path every couple of hours walk. They are the normal standard trekking lodges - room with beds and mattresses, shared bathroom, sometimes hot water, sometimes not. The Langtang Valley is a beautiful place for walking surrounded by mountains, relaxing and looking at the scenery without it being a long trek.

Hello! I read carefully your trek. Could you help me with information about the lodge at Rimche called "Ganesh view" withe womens Tamang, the one Standing is called "Tsering Dreulkar". I would like to know if the owner of that lodge has a phone, even a satellite phone, in order I may be in contact with him. Thanks for all usefull information.

I am pretty sure they had a CDMA Nepal Telecom Sky Phone even back in 2007. I used to have a card with their details, but I can't find it now - sorry. But if you are walking up Langtang Valley you will find it no trouble.

I was their a little earlier. I beleive it was owned and operated by a lovely couple by the name of Mepsung and Pourpou? Spelling is not accurate. They had a young boy who used to play records on a home made cardboard gramaphone. Lovely spot that we stayed at for three days.
