The Nature Condition at Tengger Massif where Bromo located are surrounded by a Sea of Sand (Sagara Wedi in Local's Name) Pairie and Savana. A condition where horse can be a good choice for transportation. Nowaday, one of the most famous & interesting thing at Bromo are their Local (tenggerian) Horse rider.

Tenggerian People at Bromo build their house and living around the massif area, and although today many of them are depend their live from tourism, most of them are still working on their land (farming) for living. You can easily find tengger people walk around their plantation area in the morning and afternoon, when they are going to plant or harvest their plantation.

As mentioned in another picture that horse is one of the most famous transportation at Bromo, it also become an income source for Tenggerian people. They normally rent the horse for people who want to climb the mountain to see Sunrise in the morning or people who want to travel around the area. In picture is the horse i ride when i climb the mountain & it's jokey/owner with Sunrise in background.
