Belfast Northern Ireland

I lived in Belfast for several years throughout the 2000's. It's a beautiful city with so many problems because of religion. I lived in a catholic area and at first there were no problems. I was able to roam around the city without problems. Even though I knew I should had been in some areas I was, it was ok for me. I worked at a pub in the city center and people started to get to know me and where I lived and it became to the point I wasn't able to go to area's that I use to go to. It's really sad that the city is divided like it is. At the same time though, it was really cool to witness that. Here in the states area's are separated by black and white or asian and so forth. Over there, it's white on white. Sad enough though, you get to the point where you can look at a person and tell if they are protestant or catholic.
