My name is Antonio Brown. I have a insatiable passion for learning, photographing, traveling, and being in new situations and environments. I began my first 2 years of community college as an Anthropology major. These 2 years instilled in me a curiosity of the world and different cultures. During those years at community college, I would travel by foot or public transportation where I experimented with photography and writing. I would take pictures of the places I would go and people I would meet, cultivating short stories and posting them online. I have since transferred to California State University Long Beach where I study documentary film production and fine arts photography. It is my dream to create photo series and ethnographic documentaries that capture and display the soul of subjects. I am an exceptional candidate for this scholarship because I'm strong enough to carry any gear you need me to (Rugby athlete). Also I have been primed by persistence through struggle to be challenged by a opportunity like this. I have a basic understanding of camera functions, lenses and equipment. And lastly I believe in my eye as a photographer. Thank you for your consideration.
