Everyone is going to Asia. Because it's warm, cheap, trendy and fun. Thailand is practically invaded by tourist crowds and backpacking geeks from anywhere which makes it troublesome to find an authentic touch of the country. And if you are looking for some enlightenment lessons simply don't count on it. After posting pics with monks on instagram, skyping with your girlfriend back home and constant bar crawls with Australians all you have left is an notion of your expanded horizons, open-mindness and other bullshit that you will definitely tell every single one at work. Of course, at work because you will come back. No matter how cool it is down there you will get back to the usual boring way of life. Travelling is boring too, though. It seems cool at first. But it's a very accidental illusion.
My way of travelling is not better than anyone's else. And I honestly hate it. And for some reason I do it again and again. Just don't put so much meaning in your travels and it won't seem pointless in a while. Just shut up and enjoy.
Cinema is another escapism point. I'm a director wanna-be slash part-time actor. Scholarships are awesome because money can be useful. On the road. Peace.
