Wandering Through Andalusia

My wanderlust is deep-rooted in my upbringing.
I was born in Iran. After the revolution, my family was scattered to the four winds, spending most of my early years moving from one place to another in search of a safe and happy corner of the world to call our own. We finally settled, but I never lost the sense of wonder that I found through travel and exploration.
Having spent so much of my life in transit, I learned to look for joy and beauty in ephemeral moments; feeling most alive when experiencing the world in a new way, and passionate about sharing these experiences through photography.
My journey lead me to earn degrees in both anthropology and photography. This scholarship would be an opportunity for me to learn how to translate the two greatest passions of my life into a career. To grow both as a photographer and a person. To experience the wonder that exists in the every day and to share it with the world. Not just see the world and capture it in imagery, but perhaps even to change it in some small way.
