Yo soy Méxicaño

I'll never forget the day that I was chosen to live in México for two weeks. I'll never forget the day that I met my Mexican familia. I will most definitely never forget the day that I had to leave the most amazing experience of my life.
Travelling to Mexico was a decision I made at the beginning of my grade 11 school year. I knew it was something that I wanted to do since I had heard about it.
Living in the middle of the city of Campeche, experiencing history, culture and life lessons, I became dependant on the thrill of the unknown.
On the last day of my second life, I had a hard time processing that I was actually leaving behind my new life. Sure, I missed my parents and sister, but I had grown so attached to my family and friends that I had made. I knew I had to be strong so that they would be alright.
I've learned, through my 17 years on this planet, that you make an impact on everything and everyone. No matter how small or how crucial you are to someone, you have changed their life in some way. The people of Campeche who I got to know so well have done that for me.
I went into this experience completely open-minded and willing to put myself out there. I was shot down a few times due to language barrier and such matters, but I persevered and I believe I came out stronger. I am the type of person who would serve well in travelling as a job.
I really don't know what to write... I kept a journal from my trip, and it was a different sort of trip than this one would be.
I wrote about the activities and the new things that I tried, saw and experienced. That's all you can really do. Explain your amazing experience and give positive spins on the potential negative aspects you encounter.
I know you are probably looking for someone a little bit older than I am, but it's worth a shot to apply and see where it gets me.
