Seblang dancers paraded around the village because it is believed to cleanse the village from the plague and misfortune. Dancers must be a descendant of the previous dancers and dancers should not be replaced when it was alive. at the beginning of november 2011, my friend from banyuwangi give the message that there is an interesting ritual on banyuwangi, presicely in the veillage Bakungan. A tradition of clean village dance 'Seblang'. what makes it intersting is the dance performed by a woman who is very old or already menopause period.
