My Video scholarship 2010 entry

CAMBODIA | Sunday, 1 August 2010 | Views [283] | Scholarship Entry

I made this video clip in Ratanakiri, northern Cambodia, where there are so
many interesting subjects to film there. The most spectacular one for me
is sapphire digging. The job is very hard, but people don't look like
exhausted slaves. Some of the young boys even played volleyball after
lunch.
While shooting I tried to capture people, details of the process and its
surroundings. As for the challenges I faced there, I would say, the most
difficult thing was to reach this area, due to a lot of thorny bamboo
around the plot.

I have many ideas for documentary series in the genre of Ethnography,
Geography, Wildlife and Travel Culinary, and I dream of my own series
that will be broadcast via NatGeo, Discovery or another global channel.
