My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Australia | Sunday, November 6, 2011 | 5 photos

these photos were taken during a birthday holiday in Lady Elliot Island, Australia. Lady Elliot Island is a tiny coral cay situated just on the southern part of Great Barrier Reef. The island boast some amazing wildlife and is renowned for its resident Manta Rays and the seasonal Birds and Turtle nesting.

Every year, up to 50,000 different kinds of birds call the island their nesting place. These photos are meant to convey the different feelings, emotions and actions of seabirds within the season in Lady Elliot island and why the island is the perfect place for these perfect moments.

I found my passion with photography when I started university course in Graphic design, an amazing photography tutor introduced me to seeing the different side of things.

Often we see things in a nutshell and miss the significant detail, similarly taking great photographs not only enhance the details in things, it can also provide the viewer a different perspective of the story. The saying "Picture is worth a thousand words" has been my favourite quote in inspiring me to take not just any photo, but a photo that can convey the story in a way that can give an impact toward others.

Travel has been my passion since as long as i can remember. I fascinated by the different things in life from places, people, animals and culture. To be able to take photos, travel and learn new things are the ultimate goal in my life. To be able to do these as a job would be priceless.
