A young girl closed her ears because of the very loud sound of taking-off plane. This park's located very close to the runway, less than 500m. It's also featured with the CCTV controlled by the airport officials.

Taman Dirgantara/Taman Lanud is a park located beside of Polonia Airport Medan, North Sumatera. It's the airport which is surrounded by the residential areas in the middle of city. Many people loves to spend their family time here, especially on the weekend.

At the first time, this park was a vacant land authorized by Indonesian Air Forces.
But when Tsunami disaster hit Aceh - made the higher flight frequency - more people started to come here see the flight take-off and landing.

And finally the Indonesian Air Forces handled it and officially open this place to public for the cheap picnic in the city.

This place also has helped the economy of local citizen around the Taman Lanud (Air Forces Park) for these last 8 years.

After become opened for public, the authorized organized this vacant land as well as a cheap picnic area for public.
Ice Cream, Bakso, toys, etc are available here.
