Howie used to work in an exchange student program and interacted with lots of Japanese high school girls. There was one who had such a major crush on him. When I accompanied them all on a trip to Disneyland, I got some serious evil eye from her. Anyway, she told Howie that he was "handy" and it took us a long time to realize that she meant he is handsome. Since then, it has been a little bit of a joke between us.
I guess it's not just Japanese girls who find him handy, though. While we were in Tiananmen Square just outside the Forbidden City, two women wanted their picture taken with him. This was just the first of what would be many times throughout our travels. Our tour guide was very impressed. He commented several times about how beautiful the women were.
