My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I first started taking photographs about 3 years ago firstly as a creative output, but secondly through my experiences in the water I was seeing things a lot of people don't get to see and I wanted to document this. Photography as a whole lets me understand and interpret the world I see, and helps me see the world as I want it to be seen. I am inspired by creative people around me, and I strive to take photos as a lifelong passion. A lot of my photography so far has been focused on coastal activities and areas, I would like to expand this to other areas and other forms of photography. I enjoy taking candid portraits and it is something I really would like to progress on. I see this scholarship as a huge opportunity to both push my skills as a photographer and to have the experience of a lifetime.
