Balloons rising at sunrise over the ruins on the plain of Bagan. While a horse cart will take you up close and personal to the temples, the majesty of the Bagan Archaeological Zone can be truly appreciated from the air.

This young cart driver is about to leave the village to start the day's work. Leaving shortly after dawn, she will return to the village for a rest in the middle of the day when it is too hot for her and her buffalo.

Golden Rock at Mount Kyiakhtiyo at night is a mystical sight. Said to be held in place by a thread of the Buddha's hair, this most holy of places attracts many pilgrims from all over the world.
