Mr. Jaro Dainah use a white shirt, white headband, looks very clean and didn’t like what I were thought before about image the village people, dirty. He told me a lot about what Bedouin‘s peoples. Basically, Bedouin inside people have great respect for the natural harmony. They co-exist with nature so that they must maintain a good relationship with nature. What was interesting me, representative from Bedouin inside said that they should not be using the vehicle to travel, so they must walk indeed even when have travel long distance. In addition, they should not be passed the vast waters, it’s mean the sea. I see how their lives are tightly confined by the rules of tradition and I’m incredible proud of their community is not lost even growing.
The condition of Bedouin like I describe before, show me that how they have great respect and obedience to the rules. They have been taught devotion to the homeland, and respect the God-given nature. but I have big question inside me, how they can survive in the traditional way-closed in globalization, This question is not only theoretical but also I need to live like them in their dwellings, it is hard for me to stay long without TV, magazines, internet and phone.
I was one of the lucky people get to know the new identities of cultural diversity. I learned a lot from them, one of which is how they enjoy life with their way in the arena of globalization. Traditional society is very concerned with the environment they live. In addition, they maintain themselves to be an example to use their custom, in Bedouin who use traditional clothes. Most of all, I realized is that I come from traditional societies, especially Sumba and Toraja,
so i need to know all the customs and still preserve the culture.
