My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Hi, my name is Allen, 6 years ago I filled up a backpack with clothes and a camera, gave everything else away and bought a plane ticket to the farthest place I could find. I have been traveling around the world living and working with the people I met and documenting all of it through photography and stories. I work where I land, be it on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska, or an olive farm in Sicily, to rice fields in Laos. I love this planet and its people and am so grateful to the support of all the people around the world who have brought me into their lives.

I took a photography course in high school and have always been driven by communication and how photos can do that in so many ways in just an instance. I would love an opportunity to work with professional to learn about photography in ways I never had the chance to.

I have a website and have my photos for sale, but have yet to sell one off of the site!

I need to get my foot in some door, this looks like it might be the one!
