Mucugê is one small town
located in internal south to the Bahia, in latitude 13º00’19” south and
longitude 41º22'15" west, and height of 983 meters. Your
population in 2004 was valued 15 400 inhabitants, ( the advantage of this is

2491,82 km². In the end of the century XVIII, this town already feature in
exploration of diamond and gold. Up to now still have there many big and

Nowadays Mucugê dosen´t
have the exploration of mineral
resources, but the activity of
ecoturismo is grow mainly with project “Sempre Viva”, that project
received the name the one plant typical of this region. This plant hardly don´t
exist, bacause of the extraction uncontrolled maked to the europeans.
Before creation of this project, the town already point out
because yours rivers (as the Cumubucas and Piabas that pass in Sempre Viva
project and have many materfalls and places that the people can take a bath),
mountains, rocky mountains, waterfalls, wonderfulls scenery and agroculture
mechanize, practiced by big farmers especially because this land is simillar to
the “cerrado goiano”.
In Mucugê exist the only cemetery Byzantine of latin
american ( maked below the hill, with the habit to transfer the rest the bone
to hole in rocks, with grave maked in style byzantine). Because your conjucture
architectural in colonial style it was registered land by the historical
patrimony, and nowadays is reference to the turism.
The climate of region is pleasant, with temperature among
7ºC and 20ºC in winter and among 22ºC and 30ºC in summer. The vegetation is very vast and your
wiyh also many animals typics of region, in the trail that the tourist do you
can find out many things of the nature.
To who like adventure, fun, environment and one interesting
history to study, Mucugê is the right choice. Because this town you can look
up out better the wonders of nature. Sorrow that we in our trip, had to go
off, but the experience was very good, because the imges the trip you can put
away a lot of time in your mind.
