My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am 37 years young and have been a keen amateur photographer since i was 16 yo. I am lucky to be old enough that when i first did a photography course in year 11 @ school i learnt by putting my own film on rolls and shooting in 35mm film, then developing in a darkroom. Now i insert my SD card and develop on programs such as lightroom, in short photography is just as exciting now as it was then just easier to share. Some of my other passions are the environment, snowboarding, hiking, skateboarding, my family. last but not least why should i be chosen nothing to outstanding i am sure everyone who enters deserves the trip but i think as much as i take away from the trip i can match it by giving back to the trip so everyone involved will remember it. The 3 photo's uploaded for this comp were taken on a compact flash camera in panoramic mode and are straight from the camera there is no post production. Thanks for the time you have given to look over my entry and i hope everyone involved has a safe and happy christmas/holiday period with good friends and family.
