My name is Neill and this is my "Hiatus" journey. After close to three years in the corporate enviornment I have decided to exchange the cushy and predictable life of today, for the unknown of tomorrow.
I have enjoyed the last phase of life, post graduation, where I was able to get a strong dose of what the "real-world" can be. One of the best gifts I have been given was to work in an environment where you still maintain that personal life, while also garnering vast personal/professional relationships. I will definitely miss the people I have come to call colleagues and friends, but I dream to see more. For those of you who know me, you know that the last year has been a tough one, but I have found myself climbing out on the otherside. I am now on the back nine of a long, tumltuous spine surgery recovery and I feel mentally and physically stronger than I have in a very long time. I want to take this opportunity to celebrate my health and capitalize on the efforts it took to get here.
The next 6 months are about eating, exploring, and learning my way through Southeast Asia. I have decided on this part of the world for its intense diversity, extensive dive locations and to be totally transparent...its nominal priced lifestyle. I plan to share as often and as much as possible, but anticipate lulls as each new place will bring the unexpected.
