In a park outside of the city, some local men settle in for an afternoon of cards.

A residential alley just outside of the canal system. It was midday and most of the locals were at the town centre. It's a simple way of life, although given that the average rural income is 2,622 yuan (about US$316.67), it has to be.

On the streets adjacent to the canals, locals sell their produce which they have recently caught to locals, and occasionally visitors to the town.
