My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Iran | Monday, January 14, 2013 | flickr photos

I remember the days during my childhood turning pages of my dad’s National Geographic magazine archives. therefore, I traveled around the world in my dreams and got familiar with different cultures. nowadays, interaction of human and nature is obsessing my mind. I'm keen on taking candid shots; People doing daily activities!

I don’t like clichés. As soon as I open the lens cap I feel myself in a world ready to be made by my creativity. I’m Nima, 25 years old, studied engineering. I know how to read Arabic. Weekly trip to my country’s nature and do mountain climbing are important parts of my life.

I am an amateur, enthusiast, hobbyist photographer! I think at this point in my life it’s time to enter into the world of professional photography. I’m eager to fill the empty gaps in my skills and learn professional workflow by practicing it under supervision of a mentor. For me it's a big chance to know how a professional photographer looks at the world.

My aim is to become the best possible travel photographer in my region (Middle East) and I’d like to begin a career as a photographer at recently launched local-language edition of National Geographic magazine in Farsi.

Best Regards
