My name is Nikki Bisenieks. I am an amateur photographer, currently living in Krakow, Poland.

I have moved after 3 years living in Vietnam developing my skills, solely using film and focusing on contemporary documentary photography. I spend my time working using all my savings to travel as much as I can to photograph the stories of the people and the places as I experience them. I have just had my second exhibition in Vietnam, showcasing a photo series including shots from Romania, South Korea, Scotland, Myanmar and Vietnam.

I'm applying for this scholarship as I believe the mentoring and knowledge offered invaluable and be able to further hone my skills and abilities. I would relish the opportunity to be apart of a professional expedition and the chance to photograph somewhere new under guidance.
I bring with me the excitement and enthusiasm of someone with a passion for photography, I feel that I would really utilize the skills and knowledge passed on and use it to push me further to achiever my goal of becoming a professional photographer.

I believe that this scholarship would be invaluable experience and I'm excited at the possibility of the challenge!
